I'm still working on this guy. I'm having problems with the crotch area, I just thought I should post some pics since I haven't posted anything in a good while.

30 Days - Work

I meant to post images of my submissions a long time ago. The problem was that I got really busy and I forgot all about it. So here are the things I've done so far. I didn't get anything up until the sixth day due to our move.

I've had the good fortune to be able to participate in my friend Keith's 30 Days project. I participated in the 2006 one. Unfortunately for me this one began as was going through my hellish move. So, dear readers, you won't see my name pop up until day six. I will be posting the things that I have done for 30 days on this blog also. So keep that RSS feed locked!

Moving cont'd.

Well I've finished moving into our new house. But man, I was so sore yesterday that I could barely walk, at times it felt like there were tiny explosions going on in my body. All of my drawing materials, including my computer, are all buried in various places, so it'll be a while before I can get anything up unless it's my pencil sketches.

Cables

When the singularity comes, I'm gonna get rid of all my cables.

Moving

I'm in the transitional phase of moving into a new home. Pretty exciting and depressing at the same time. It's only depressing because I'll be out of my comfort zone, in respect to having a dedicated work space, for a while until everything can settle back into place. My trusty powerbook and boombox will serve me well over the next few days, like R2D2 and C3PO.

Keith Ikeda-Barry's '30 Days' thing will be starting on the 1st, which also happens to be my dad's birthday. I want to get him that book "The God Machine". It's about the history of helicopters. Pretty brilliant.

Satyr's head

Continuing the odyssey which is painting in PS. I was gonna name this "Black Moses" after the misinterpretation of Exodus 34:29-35, that fostered the depiction of Moses with horns. Unfortunately I had already given him Spock ears so I just said screw it and painted.

It's 5am and I'm sitting here working on my Eva. I haven't posted any 3D stuff that I do because I'm still a bit wet behind the ears at it. I thought I should post my progress on this newest project though, just to have a visual record.

Modeling spheres

I'm doing some modeling exercises right now as part of my continuing process of mastering PS. Here are some spheres. The first one shows the full light (diffuse color), half-light (transition), shadow (form shadow), and reflected light as clearly delineated regions in order to help me clearly see my topology. The next version is the same sphere only that the regions are now blended to create a more 3-dimensional feel.
